UPCOMING EVENTS
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Operation Christmas Child will be here soon.  Starting August 1, instead of bringing certain items, we have set a goal to collect 20 full and completed boxes each month.  Please pick up a box or two, as well as labels and packing instructions, from the Commons and bring the boxes back as soon as they are completed.  If you are unable to go shopping, you may contribute money designated “OCC boxes,” and we will find someone to shop for you.  Let’s help share the love of Christ with children who have never been given a gift.
STUDENT PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY

As the 2022-2023 school year begins, please consider joining our Student Prayer Partner Ministry (Backpack Blessings), which is an opportunity for an adult to pray for and encourage a child or student throughout the school year.  On Sunday, August 14, prayer packets will be available in the Commons for each child (babies-5th grade), youth (6th-12th grade), and college student.  The best school supply we can give this year is our intentional prayers!  If you have any questions, contact Heather Harkins (heather@myridgecrest.info).

GRIEFSHARE
GriefShare will start back on August 17.  If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Mann (205-661-3722).

MINISTRY IN MOTION’S FUN, FOOD, & FELLOWSHIP
Join us on Monday, August 15, for a churchwide Ministry in Motion Luncheon.  This will be a potluck lunch.  Bring your favorite casserole, vegetable, salad, or dessert to share.  The church will provide drinks.  We will eat at 11:00 a.m., followed by a devotion by Bro. Jamie.  Afterwards, there will be games and fellowship.  Please sign up at the Information Desk so we know how many to prepare for.

MOPS AT RIDGECREST
If you’ve been looking for a way to fellowship with other women in this crazy season of parenthood and have Tuesday mornings open, please consider joining MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) as well as MomsNext (Mothers of school-aged children) this fall. We meet every other Tuesday from 9:30-11:30 AM, starting August 23. Everyone’s story is different, but this group is here to meet you right where you are in the midst of your story/circumstances. DON’T DO LIFE ALONE! For more information, please contact Casey Dickson at (850) 206-0968 or visit our Facebook page – Trussville MOPS at RBC.

RIDGEVIEW

The next Ridgeview class will take place on Sunday, August 28, at 11:30 a.m. This class is for potential new members and those interested in knowing more about Ridgecrest. The class is based on the book I Am A Church Member by Thom S. Rainer. Lunch will be provided. Nursery will be available upon request. Sign up at the kiosk in the Commons, online, or call the church office. (205-661-3722).
